In line with this year’s theme for World Kidney Day, Madhab Chakrabarti, KWF’s State Coordinator for West Bengal, organised a Walkathon to raise awareness about kidney disease. This was managed in association with members of FRIENDS (technicians mostly) – an awareness foundation
The “Walk for Kidney” made an impact with informative hand-made posters explaining the causes, preventive measures and functions of the kidney. Walkathon was in the prime location of Kolkata’s College Street, attracting public attention. The Walk was followed with a talk by Dr. Tanmay Chatterjee, Nephrologist and a free health check-up camp.
